Things to do Locally

There are lots of walks in the area. We have OS maps that you can borrow

If you would like to walk from  Chalk and Cheese we have written directions for a few local walks - Warren Walk (90 minutes), Church Walk (45 minutes), Village Walk (20 minutes).

The Norfolk coastline is less than an hour away (45mins by car).  Many coast walks, watersports, sealife centre and coastal towns to visit.

In the Chalk & Cheese School House - Affordable gifts, cards and lots of other treasures can be found in Chalkie’s Wee Giftie Shop – guests are welcome to browse anytime during their stay

Totenhill Antiques Emporium (as featured on the “Antiques Road Trip” ) is only 10 minutes’ drive away and is highly recommended.

Downham Market and Swaffham both offer a range of shops with King’s Lynn and Norwich offering a more extensive choice.

Holt is worth the journey for its boutiques, antique emporiums and wonderful food hall at Larners (Norfolk’s own “Fortnum and Mason”!)

What our guests say...

"we found this little hideaway to be quirky fun and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was lovely. We enjoyed our drinks by the log fire too."
